Michele Bell, President

Michele Bell has been a recognized member of the health, fitness and day spa community for over 20 years. She has worked in both single and multiple facility operations, including regional and national sales management roles overseeing nearly 70 fitness centers at a time across 12 states. Michele has designed comprehensive sales training workbooks and standard operating procedures manuals used by companies nationwide and has personally trained hundreds of fitness and day spa teams in sales process and skill to greatly improve sales performance and service integration.

As the health and fitness industry evolved, Michele began to study the art of personal life coaching and wellness integration. She used this education to create new, unique models for membership sales and wellness advising. The results are a substantial increase in sales and revenue more integration between departments and measurable improvements in the organization and professionalism of front line teams. She is particularly noted for assisting high-end brands maintain their identity through the sales process therefore, differentiating them from their competitors. 

Michele has worked with numerous industry leaders including the NOVA-7 award-winning Health & Wellness Center by Doylestown Hospital where she assisted the sales team in achieving over 1200 pre-sales in a six week period of time. In addition to her involvement with large organizations, she has consulted with hundreds of single health clubs, studios, wellness centers, medical practices and day spa facilities across the country. She works with new and existing facilities and has launched over a dozen centers from their inception through grand opening.

Her support of the industry includes having been a staff member and contributing writer for Club Success Magazine and regular presenter for conferences including IHRSA, FitLife Clubs, California Clubs of Distinction and Club Industry

In addition to her professional sales career, Michele is a certified Yoga Instructor, a certified Life Coach and a member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners for Holistic Nutritional Counseling. She has a successful private practice in Northern California coaching clients on lifestyle change and holistic nutrition.  She has been a contributing writer for Prevention.com and the Nutrition Business Journal and is deeply committed to educating those around her how to make healthy lifestyle Choices.

Michele was one of the original co-founders of the Club Synergy Group, an exclusive network of industry consultants, and is currently the President of mPower Solutions,LLC. 

Melissa Vail, Sales & Service Integration Specialist

Melissa Vail is a business consultant specializing in strategic planning, operations, sales and training solutions for the health club and spa industry. She brings a fresh, sophisticated, upscale approach to a sometimes flat and formulaic business.

In her 12 years of industry experience, Melissa has held various leadership positions and has excelled in sales strategy and training.  Her career began in corporate membership sales and continued as she held regional and national sales and marketing roles in large multi-club facilities and upscale, boutique-style chains.  She has also been integral in operational development of many facilities, as well.

Ms Vail spent 8 years at David Barton Gym, an upscale boutique gym with locations in New York City, Chicago and Miami where she was the Director of Marketing and Sales. She was responsible for the successful revenue growth of all existinglocations. Ms Vail managed the successful pre-sale and launch of several David Baron locations including the flagship Chelsea and upper east side locations in NYC, the new 30,000 sq foot location in Chelsea, the Miami location housed in Ian Schrage’s world-renowned Delano Hotel, the River North area of Chicago, and most recently the Ganesevoort location which opened in Miami in 2007.

In addition Melissa assisted in the pre-sale and launch of 3 Club H locations in the tri-state area plus provided operational and sales support for The Mezzanine Spa in Soho and Spa H in Murray Hill.  In all of her project she was responsible for the strategic marketing and sales campaigns for the launch of the new location through maturity.

Melissa has participated in IHRSA and Club Industry conferences and has an impressive circle of industry associates who she can call upon for clients in various areas of expertise, as needed.

Having worked in the high-end market for many years, Melissa began to develop sales protocols for her teams that embraced a coaching model for sales. She is excited to join the mPower Selling team that offers clubs an opportunity to make significant growth in their sales and service using innovative methodology and systems.

Melissa is completing her Masters in Business Administration from New York University and holds her Bachelors from University of Delaware.
